Étoile Verte (Green Star)

from How It Went Down by Chris Cunningham

/

about

The green star is the symbol of Morocco, and its' music has been amongst my greatest of inspirations since I first saw and heard Moroccan performers as a child at the World's Fair in NYC . This tune is built on a specific Moroccan 12/8 dance groove, and guided by the piano improv of Joe Strachan.
